SPC Quality is a submodule within Software Platform & Connectivity. The Test Environment Engineer will be embedded in the Virtualization team within the Plant Platform submodule and will play a key role in ensuring reliable and efficient validation of virtualization solutions through the Zero Series Testing environment.
Responsibilities
As a Test Environment Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Managing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Zero Series Testing environment
- Maintaining and expanding Zero Series test suites and test coverage
- Planning, coordinating, and executing manual testing activities related to virtualization solutions
- Identifying opportunities to reduce manual testing through automation
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test solutions
- Supporting diagnosis and root cause analysis of software, infrastructure, and test environment issues
- Monitoring test results and documenting findings, risks, and recommendations
- Collaborating closely with development, quality, and platform teams to improve testing efficiency and quality
Qualifications
- Test case design, implementation, execution, and maintenance
- Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions
- Converting manual test procedures into automated test suites
- Hardware platforms, networks, and test infrastructure; B able to replace hardware components is valuable
- Administration and configuration of Windows and Linux servers
- Virtualization technologies and infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible
- Diagnosing and fixing software, infrastructure, and test environment issues
- Analysis of test results and documentation of findings
- Python development and scripting
- It is valuable to have industrial control systems /wind energy systems

This is a hybrid position based in Porto, Portugal and requires up to 1 week of travel per year.
