Join Vestas Technology Operation (VTO) and Vestas Quality, where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. In Vestas Quality, you'll find CIM (Continued Improvement Management) & Serious Incidents. We are a team of over 100 employees, primarily engineers and project managers, located in Denmark, Great Britain, India, and Portugal. We resolve CIM cases in a prioritized and structured manner by developing upgrade solutions that improve the performance and safety of installed wind turbines.
Responsibilities
- Guide the technical direction for software and control system improvements within the turbine platform
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand root causes and translate findings into actionable software solutions
- Guide and support developers through technical mentorship and structured problem-solving
- Ensure Agile best practices are followed in backlog management, sprint planning, and issue tracking using tools like JIRA
- Maintain transparent documentation aligned with CIM standards (e.g. DMAIC, 8D)
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to analyze SCADA data and identify operational issues
- Identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies with thoroughness
- Maintain effective collaboration with the Project Manager to ensure alignment on scope, priorities, and timelines
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
- Solid understanding of turbine control principles, generator/converter behavior, and grid compliance
- Experience with SCADA systems, control system diagnostics, and embedded software environments
- Familiarity with PLC programming, software update processes, and version control
- Skilled in using JIRA or similar tools for project tracking and Agile workflows
- Experience managing improvement projects using Agile or traditional project management methods
- Comfortable working in multicultural, international environments

- Experienced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends
- Motivated mindset with a focus on structured problem-solving (e.g. 5 Whys, FMEA)
- Effective communicator who bridges technical and non-technical teams
- Collaborative contributor with experience working across departments and with field teams
- Awareness of cybersecurity risks in industrial environments
- Ethical and safety-conscious, aligned with Vestas values and culture
- Capable of adjusting to new conditions and inspired to contribute to improvements
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
