At Vestas, our Supply Chain Planning team balances demand and supply, ensuring an optimized tactical plan for Vestas and enabling seamless distribution and delivery of components to our construction sites. You will join the Supply Planning Team, which builds and owns the supply plan and ensures it is optimized according to Vestas' key planning metrics. The team operates from a Demand-Driven mindset and applies principles of pull and just-in-time, as part of the planning process.  

 

Responsibilities

  • Own tactical supply plan horizon within the scope of the role
  • Optimize Demand Driven Supply Plan – balanced to enable sales while optimizing cost and cash
  • Own scenario planning, together with Demand Planners, within the tactical horizon
  • Governance on plan Accuracy and adherence to targets
  • Input to monthly financial rolling forecast – production and inventory forecasts (and targets)
  • Participate in Supply Chain Planning's standardisation and digitalization journey
  • Prepare Supplier Forecast scenarios within the tactical horizon
  • Coordinate handover between tactical and operational planning time horizons with segments planners
  • Engage in cross-functional planning meetings
  • Prepare information deck to support S&OE decision forums

 

Qualifications

  • A master's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with complex supply chains in a global environment
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience working with tactical planning processes
  • Experience with advanced planning tools (SAP IBP, O9, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Additional information

This is a hybrid position based in Porto, Portugal, and requires up to 20 days of travel per year.
