Vestas Technology & Operations > Aerodynamic & Mechanical > PowerTrain Lifecycle Management
The PowerTrain Lifecycle Management department aims to guarantee the entire life-cycle of our turbines by fulfilling all value chain operational requests may they be on active or legacy products, complying with the Powertrain governance. The Lifecycle Management team branches out into 3 main pillars: cost-out, input signal management and design maintenance, with engineering change management as support to all branches. 
We are looking to create one more branch dedicated to sustainability, and this role will contribute to guaranteeing that both the Powertrain module and Vestas, as a whole, are compliant with all sustainability requirements.

 

Responsibilities

  • Data expert for environmental sustainability for the Powertrain Module
  • Plan and coordinate all sustainability activities within the module
  • Define and maintain all environmental impact calculations associated with the module
  • Support in the creation of the module's environmental impact baseline
  • Coordinate scenario analysis with the different sub-modules to compare with baseline and define an action plan to achieve defined KPIs
  • Ensure creation and maintenance of sustainability ideas pipeline linking it to technology and cost-out roadmap
  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration with relevant interface owners throughout the value chain
  • Ensure communication and follow-up with external suppliers on sustainability targets

 

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Environmental/Sustainability Engineering
  • 5 years of work experience in a similar position
  • Experience in environmental calculations and impact assessment on products (ideally in the wind industry)
  • Experience in scrum methodology or other agile-related methodologies
  • Experience in Makersite or common LCA software is an added value
