Power Solutions & Vestas Quality > Vestas Quality > Supplier Quality& Development MED

This position is part of the Supplier Quality & Development in Vestas MED region, which coordinates SQ&D activities and ensures the highest focus on quality, safety, and environment. The key task is the strategic and operational development of key suppliers in South Europe, Turkey, the Middle East & Africa region by performing site audits, supplier assessments, and leading QSE improvement projects to enforce high supplier performance, zero incidents, and reduce the number of non-conformities.

The SQ&D Department is part of a matrix organization covering global and regional demands collaborating with multiple internal functions i.e. procurement, engineering, manufacturing facilities, service & project management.


Responsibilities

  • Deploy the Vestas Quality, Safety, and Environment Strategy toward external suppliers for Service
  • Support supplier quality, capability, and performance in compliance with regional & global strategy
  • Complete new market entry strategy & new supplier onboarding ensuring Vestas processes are followed
  • Secure agreement with regional QHSE & Construction team for completion of supplier improvement activities
  • Guide QSE activities in cases of non-quality performance and incidents with suppliers in line with Vestas requirements
  • Ensure Supplier Performance Review Meetings with cross-functional participation
  • Ensure that relevant QSE agreements with suppliers are in place
  • Lead and conduct supplier development projects and supplier local initiative, conduct QHSE audits and prepare-present executive reports


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent qualification
  • Having +3 years of experience in a similar role / relevant industry background: Wind turbine service / Maintenance or Construction
  • Certification / Experience in the APQP framework will be beneficial
  • Certified ISO auditor/lead auditor or other standards and relevant quality-safety certifications will be an added value
  • Green Belt Six Sigma qualification will be an added value


Competencies

  • Relevant commodity acumen with certifications (GWO etc...)
  • High project management skills with the ability to deliver complex development projects across the organization
  • Competency in data analytics and good problem-solving skills, having the ability to identify and deliver actionable solutions to complex problems
  • Good communication skills, oral and written, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders within an international, global & cross-functional environment
  • Motivated personality, independent learning & critical thinking skills
  • Full proficiency in English
