Simulation Development is responsible for propelling, defining, and ensuring that both short and long-term targets are met for HOW we simulate physical phenomena across our wind turbine platforms and modules. The department is also responsible for the overall simulation strategy and thereby HOW our simulation tools - both proprietary, bespoke, and commercial - are working together.

Responsibilities
Work as part of a team to deliver the most value to Vestas from the systems used to organise the Bill of Material, including but not limited to

• Ensuring a sustainable product modularization and correspondent product configurations for the current and future Vestas turbine range
• Enabling multiple interconnected value chain Bill of Material views in order to deliver effective value chain automatisation

Qualifications

• M. Sc. Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or System Engineering 
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience (e.g., Automotive and Aerospace preferred)

Competencies 
Technical

• Solid experience in CAD software's, PTC Creo Parametric preferred
• Solid experience with PLM software's, PTC Windchill preferred
• Profound experience with BOM creation and management
• Experience working on modularized complex product structures 
• Understanding of ERP software's, SAP preferred
• End to end understanding about ECM (Engineering Change Management) 
• Experience with converting design, configuration, manufacturing and service knowledge into CAD and PLM tools
• Familiar with system engineering principles
• Agile (SCRUM) knowledge is an added value
