The department of Service Industrialization (VSI) is an organization of Global Service. Within VSI, Service ECM + QSE is the governance function for QSE and responsible for handling and completing global service ECM-related tasks. Service ECM is responsible for the execution of engineering changes out of the Engineering Change Management (ECM), creation and development of related documentation for the products/platforms, and coordinating projects from the ECM. The team is located in different geographical locations and is expanding to meet the demand of a growing and motivating business.

 

Responsibilities

  • Utilize existing knowledge on mechanical components to create and change documentation for the service organization
  • Creation, reviewing, and comparison of specifications like Technical Supplier Specification (TSS), Technical Product Specification (TPS), etc. from mechanical components, e.g. the drivetrain components, gearboxes, bearings, couplings, hydraulic and other mechanical parts of the turbines
  • Sharing knowledge and experience in the area of mechanical components and their interfaces with the team
  • Handling/technical evaluate Problem reports/ corresponding CRs in PDMLink Windchill
  • Guiding tasks in Jira
  • As part of the ECM team, showing responsibility, especially for the mechanical-related PR's
  • Execution of ECM-related tasks, with providing solutions and review the solution once implemented
  • Creating of documentation and work instructions for mechanical components
  • Readiness to apply special knowledge to other mechanical turbine components
  • Reviewing of work instructions
  • Providing support to the technical writers and the technical sourcing team
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications
  • Follow up closely on open PR's/CRs and ensure timely closure to meet PPI's & KPIs
  • Be a contributor to the continuous improvement of our processes and tools

 

Qualifications

  • Mechanical Education with special knowledge on various mechanical components, e.g. gearboxes, bearings, screws, pumps, hydraulics, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree or comparable is appreciated
  • Several years of experience in the wind industry preferred
  • Practical experience in service and working on mechanical components of various turbines appreciated
  • Trained on the mechanical components (f.e. supplier training, controller trainings, OEM inhouse trainings, etc.)
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Knowledge of PLM Software Windchill
  • Knowledge of ECM, able to fulfill ECR with the usage of JIRA
  • JIRA experience is an added value
  • Demonstrated Good interpersonal skills
  • Solid pragmatical skills, attention to details and great follow-up skills are also expected
  • Ability to handle customer queries and give clear replies on service perspective
  • Great communication skills in English, both verbal and written
