The Advanced Sensing and Diagnostics Sub Module is part of the Turbine Control Software Module within Vestas Power Solutions. As such, we are responsible for delivering the software for the most complex sensor solutions, e.g. Wind Sensing, Tower Accelerations and Blade Load Sensing. Next to delivering this software, it is part of our DNA to validate and verify our solutions on real data to ensure best in class quality. Furthermore, our mission is to create smart sensor signals, which enables the turbine to run more reliable, more efficiently or enables us to detect current and potential future defects to improve our service business and thus creates value for Vestas and our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure project deliveries for our technical and turbine projects as part of an agile team
  • Be responsible to drive at least one of our key results to ensure high team efficiency and best practices
  • Conduct root cause analysis to pinpoint potential turbine performance issues
  • Contribute actively defining functional and non-functional software requirements for turbine control systems
  • Develop new innovative algorithms for smart sensing and diagnostics solutions
  • Actively participate in the refinement and advancement of processes, software, and tools

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master in Software Engineering, Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar background
  • More importantly min 3-4 years experience data analytics or in embedded software delivery with use of Simulink and Matlab or the combination of both

  • C++ coding skills are a beneficial asset
  • Good skills within physics and data analytics, which enables you to understand turbine physics easily and interpret large sets of data efficiently
