The Project Execution department is a vital part of the Turbine Control Software organization within Vestas Power Solutions. Our department is responsible for delivering software development projects that makes Vestas turbines efficient and safe to operate. We are a team of highly skilled and experienced Project Managers and Project Technical Leads located across three different sites in India, Portugal, and Denmark.

 

As an experienced Scrum Master, you will play a crucial role in guiding our software development teams, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate closely with Software developers, technical leads, SMEs and other stakeholders to promote Agile mindset and best practices. Your expertise in agile methodologies and proven leadership skills will contribute to the seamless execution of our software projects.

 

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the Agile/Scrum/Kanban process for multiple software development teams, ensuring adherence to principles, practices, and ceremonies
  • Coach and mentor team members on Agile practices, emphasizing self-organization, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Guide the team in breaking down complex projects into manageable tasks, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Identify and address any impediments or conflicts that may hinder the team's progress, working closely with stakeholders to find appropriate solutions
  • Monitor and track project progress, using agile project management tools and metrics to ensure timely delivery and meet quality standards
  • Promote a culture of transparency, trust, and collaboration within the team and across departments
  • Continuously improve Agile processes by identifying and implementing best practices and lessons learned
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, advancements in agile methodologies, and the wind turbine industry to bring innovative ideas and approaches to the team

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, Kanban and SAFe, and their practical application in software development projects
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certifications are highly desirable
  • SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) training and experience is advantageous

 

Competencies

  • Comprehensive leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Excellent facilitation and conflict resolution skills to ensure productive collaboration
  • Proficiency in using JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms
