The VTO Project Planning team supports the visibility, transparency, and reliability of One Plan across Vestas by:

  • Connecting value-chain areas, product areas, PMOs, T&O Project Excellence, Digital Solutions, EPMs, and other key stakeholders to enable aligned and connected planning
  • Enabling end-to-end planning through the right planning tools, primarily place, bringing together plans, milestones, dependencies, and performance in a shared environment
  • Acting as a planning partner for T&O organizations through training, coaching, guidance, and user support
  • Promoting the adoption and continuous improvement of common planning practices, capabilities, and ways of working
  • Promoting transparent, collaborative, and efficient planning across T&O
  • Ensuring plans are connected, trustworthy, and maintained as a single source of truth, enabling informed decision-making across product lines

 

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted planning partner for Business Units, building close relationships, understanding their needs and challenges, and providing direct support to improve planning quality and effectiveness
  • Coordinate integrated planning across T&O, connecting Business Units, product and value-chain areas, PMOs, Project Excellence, Digital Solutions, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and visibility across plans
  • Advance cplace adoption and user enablement, closely engaging, motivating, coaching, and supporting users to improve their planning capabilities and get the most value from the platform and common ways of working
  • Shape the next waves of place development by staying close to Business Units, identifying real user needs and pain points, translating them into clear requirements, and helping prioritize improvements that deliver tangible business value
  • Contribute to the evolution of Flow Agile methodologies and processes, ensuring close integration and connectivity with the overall T&O planning environment, tools, and ways of working
  • Ensure planning quality, connectivity, and reliability, supporting teams in maintaining accurate and up-to-date plans, identifying cross-organizational dependencies, and making the planning environment a trusted source of information
  • Advance continuous improvement and communication of planning capabilities, developing and delivering practical guidance, training, communication materials, and best practices that help users adopt common approaches and continuously improve how they plan

 

Qualifications

  • University degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field
  • Solid professional experience in project, program, portfolio, or integrated planning within a complex, cross-functional organization is valuable
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and planning practices, with the ability to connect Agile ways of working with broader project and portfolio planning
  • Experience with digital planning and portfolio management tools, with specific knowledge of SAP PPM, cplace, or JIRA considered valuable
  • Effective customer and business-partnering mindset, with the ability to understand Business Unit needs, build trusted relationships, and translate those needs into practical improvements
  • Demonstrated ability to engage, motivate, and enable users, with a practical approach to coaching, training, and supporting teams in improving their planning capabilities and adopting new tools and ways of working
  • Effective communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to develop clear and engaging training, guidance, and communication materials for different audiences and organizational levels

Additional information

This is a hybrid position based in Porto, Portugal, and requires up to 20% of travel per year.
