Are you ready to bey a key driver in implementing and coordinating product development projects within the area of plant solutions that enable grid stability? As a Project Manager in Power SI Project Management you will be a part of a team of highly skilled project managers and trainees located in both Denmark, Portugal and Chennai. In our department we are accountable for establishing, operating and completing the project portfolio of power plant solutions to secure stable grid connections around the world. We coordinate and complete our projects according to our execution model in an efficient way from scoping to market delivery.  In our department we are all leaders and work to live Vestas values, Accountability, Collaboration, Simplicity and Passion to deliver on our promises on time, cost and quality.



  • You will motivate and supervise projects out of our Design Centre in Porto, while the projects have a global reach with teams and stakeholders worldwide. You will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle and the commercial output of our projects delivered through our stage-gate execution model:
  • Scope, initiate and implement Power SI module projects
  • Be accountable for your own budgets, timelines and project plans
  • Accountable for planning, including technical reviews, project management reviews and gate recommendations according to the operating model of Vestas
  • Monitor progress and escalate risks and deviations timely to find mitigations to issuesCommunicate clearly to the complete stakeholder map, and supervise downwards, upwards and lateral in the organization
  • Work closely with line management to secure right staffing and timely initiation of the projects and set the teams up for success
  • Responsibility for own process relevant skills initiatives



  • You have a technical or other relevant degree (B.Sc or M.Sc). An engineering degree within electrical, IT or similar would be an added value, but not a requirementMinimum 4-6 years of experience with project management and minimum 6-8 years in total in international companies
  • Experience with coordinating software projects in agile environments is an added value
  • You have experience with project management in large matrix organizations and you have experience coordinating stakeholders on senior level (up to Vice President level)You have a good understanding of different execution, governance and budget models
  • You are fluent in English, both written and verbally



  • You already learn the toolbox within project management and can balance the effort between project leadership and project management
  • You have the ability to inspire and people listen to you when you present your points with attitude and valid arguments
  • You are able to coordinate projects across different cultures and you are present even though some will be coordinated remotely
  • You embrace changes and you are coordinating your surroundings through the changing environment
  • You have good IT skills and are able to quickly understand and read systems and dependencies between systems
