Power Solutions > Applications, Controls & Electrical > Power System Integration Module

You will be part of a key organization within Vestas by joining our Power System Integration module. In Power System Integration we are in very close interaction with the market as well as being involved in various innovation activities with external collaborators, while focusing on product development as a target goal.

The core outputs within Power System Integration are the design of the electrical infrastructure of Vestas renewable power plants, the Vestas Power Plant Controller and electrical simulation models of wind turbines, power plant controller and renewable power plants. We achieve this through the department's core competencies within Power Systems, Control and Software Engineering.

PPC Applications is a department within the Power System Integration and focuses mainly on the development of software that interfaces for management, commissioning of the Power Plant Controller core, testing tools, tech support for certification and sign-off for integration and performance, among other.

Responsibilities

As a Cyber Security Engineer in PPC Applications, you will support the team working on our products, ensuring that we evolve in our CS maturity level and acting as an anchor point to all CS related matters

Your main focus will be:

  • Implementing, handling, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for the protection of PPC code
  • Implement best practices
  • Increase our organization CS maturity level
  • Interface with other modules in the CS field (e.g. with SCADA, PPC controls, etc.)
  • Participating in change management processes

 

Qualifications

  • MsC in computer science/ Informatics or equivalent experience
  • At least 4 years of experience in the field of Cyber Security
  • Solid experience in secure software development processes
  • Cyber Security in SCADA or industrial software it will be good to have
  • Solid attention to detail with an investigative mind and great problem-solving skills
  • Good awareness of cyber security trends
  • Experience with Python/Bash/PowerShell or other scripting languages/tools
