Converter & Electrical Module is a part of Vestas Power Solutions, Converter & Electrical Module that consists of several Sub Modules concentrated on power conversion and transformation. The Converter & Electrical Module is responsible for technology and product development of Converters, HV-Transformers, Switchgears and Cables.

Switchgears and Cables are designed, manufactured and tested by qualified suppliers based on Technical Purchase Specifications and through coordination with the Switchgear & Cables Sub-Module that is located in Portugal and India. We provide first in class solutions meeting system and grid requirements.

Responsibilities

As Switchgear & Cables Sub Module Owner, you will report to the Module Owner of Converter & Electrical Module and be part of the Module management team.

You will be responsible for the Sub Module and the performance of the team: Delivering high quality, safe, sustainable and durable design solutions on time at the agreed cost taking the entire value chain and life cycle into account. You will develop employees through coaching and target setting. You must ensure a solid collaboration inside and outside of VPS, with innovative contact to relevant stakeholders to always seek for the best for Vestas' solutions.

You should at all times have a good overview of all tasks going on in the Sub Module and be prepared to communicate time schedules, resource constraints, and to negotiate priorities.

The Sub Module is direct line manager for the team members which among other things requires solid people performance and development dialogue and building and maintaining stakeholder relations across Vestas and a full life cycle involvement of all stakeholders for the Sub Module. You must ensure a solid collaboration inside and outside of Vestas Power Solutions, with innovative contact to relevant stakeholders to always seek for the best solutions.

Furthermore:

• Delivering needed solutions and documentation for the full value chain
• Responsible for technical quality of the Sub Module for all product variants
• Ensuring timely execution of deliverables such as high-quality solutions and documentation
• Supervising resource planning and delegation of work and budget controlling
• In collaboration with project managers; facilitating planning sessions and following up
• Identifying optimizations in processes and solutions

Qualifications

• Proven management experience from a large organization
• A bachelor/master's degree in relevant technical area i.e. Electrical Engineering
• Coordination of your degree with commercial/business education
• Experience from working as an Engineer in HV-Switchgears or HV-Cables designs
• Experience in management of Electrical Engineering teams
• Cross cultural understanding and experience with international companies
