The Framework & OS Sub Module is a part of Vestas Research & Development, and we are responsible for delivering the software platform, networking solutions and cyber secure protocol interfaces to ALL Vestas turbines. As an R&D Developer, you will join the work on extending the platform as part of new turbine. development projects as well as participating in improvement and technology projects setting the direction for the processes and long-term features of the platform. Includes the option to take responsibility for leading team delivery and collaboration, serving as Scrum Master for up to two teams.

 

Responsibilities

  • Designing embedded software and firmware solutions for Wind turbines
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in a team-oriented environment that rewards ownership
  • Implementing a full software development lifecycle, including code review and unit testing
  • Write well-designed and testable code, mainly C++
  • Responsible for writing and updating comprehensive technical documentation and maintaining software
  • Maintaining and diagnosing hardware and software issues
  • Ensuring compliance with security and data protection regulations
  • Be engaged during the functional and software requirements definition

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in IT/Electronics
  • Minimum of 3 years of industry experience
  • Experience working on architecture and design of complex features and solutions
  • Good programming skills in C and C++
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Experience with Framework, protocols and application performance analysis and optimization
  • Experience with multiplatform middleware and HW/platform abstraction layers
