Vestas Global Procurement is an award-winning, well-regarded procurement function within a global OEM for sustainable and renewable energy solutions. We are overall responsible for all Procurement activities within Vestas, including leading global and cross-functional teams, developing and implementing commodity strategies across modules, creating and capturing end-to-end value, supplier relationship management and supplier account management, performance metrics monitoring and development.

You will join an experienced team with a high level of interaction within the value chain. You will work closely with stakeholders at all levels to understand business requirements and secure execution of commodity strategies toward suppliers, ensuring a sustainable, scalable, and reliable supply base.

In this role, you will contribute to the development and delivery of a global portfolio of onshore and offshore wind infrastructure projects, from supply and installation only to full turnkey projects. With a scope of over € 450m annual spend, predominantly consisting of Transport, Construction and Service tools.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for global procurement of TCM tools used both in On and Offshore
  • Manage procurement-related activities in the cross-functional team and secure alignment with relevant stakeholders in relation to e.g., new product introduction, costing, and supplier risk and performance management, supplier selection, qualification, negotiation and contracting
  • Supplier consolidation to ensure supply chain optimization based on total landed cost, strategy and roadmap development with your commodity member
  • Procurement deliverables in new product introduction, Master data management and contract management of NDAs, Purchase Agreements, Price Agreements, etc.
  • Full understanding of Commodity KPI governance and effective engagement in performance improvement to meet targets

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of experience in global procurement and relevant bachelor's degree in e.g., Business, Engineering, Economics, Finance
  • Efficient communication skills and extensive experience with stakeholder management
  • Comprehensive analytical experience and able to work in Excel and with pivots
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Additional information

This is a hybrid position based in Porto, Portugal and requires up to 20% travel. Applicants must be authorized to work in Portugal. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
