Vestas Procurement is overall responsible for all Strategic Procurement activities within Vestas Wind Systems. Supplier Account Management, Negotiations, cost-out initiatives, Category Strategy Development and Implementation are key areas. Managing costs, supplier performance, localization projects, and new product development projects are our major focus areas.

 

Responsibilities

This position is in our Service Material Procurement Team, which is part of Vestas Procurement. In Service Material Procurement, we are responsible for the strategic and tactical procurement of spare parts used to service our global fleet of turbines.

Your area will be Sensors and Transformer spare parts, and your responsibilities will include:

  • Guide the strategic direction within your area with the relevant stakeholders
  • Annual price negotiations
  • Localization and other optimization projects that will improve the availability of the spare parts
  • Ensure your suppliers are covered by purchase agreements
  • Cross-functional optimization projects
  • Ensure you have the right supplier base to support current and future demands

 

Qualifications

  • A master's degree in supply chain or international business
  • 2 years of strategic procurement experience
  • High-level experience with stakeholder management
  • You are a skilled IT user (SAP, SAP ARIBA and Microsoft Office)
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Additional information

This is a hybrid position based in Porto, Portugal and requires up to 30 travel days per year. Applicants must be authorized to work in Portugal. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
