As a part of Vestas Power Solutions, the Product Solutions & Integration is responsible for designing the product architecture and product roadmap in response to market roadmap requirements, translating product architecture and roadmap into module requirements, and full Value Chain Integration. Loads and Control (LaC), as part of Product Solutions & Integration, is responsible for designing and optimizing the product for load and control strategy together with cross-product design work. The department consists of highly skilled, international, and well-experienced engineers who are taking accountability for all aspects of the LaC solution delivered to the Products which are placed across 3 design locations: Denmark, India, and Portugal. LaC Value engineering department is a sub-department in LaC that is responsible for delivering loads and controls solutions for product customization, site-specific solutions, and performance optimization, and value engineering activities for new sales projects, repowering projects, doing and service engineering projects for onshore and offshore portfolio. Currently, the department consists of 20+ highly skilled and motivated engineers. LaC VE works in a global setup, where we work closely with colleagues in our functional offices in Denmark and Portugal.   • Engineer/team member in customization projects for providing/developing loads and controls solutions for product customization, site-specific solutions, performance optimization, and value engineering activities for new sales projects (Onshore & Offshore)

  • Working in sales value engineering projects starting from requirements gathering, scoping, solution identification, making the right trade-off/decisions, delivering the solutions, documentation, certification

  • Develop value engineering solutions by understanding the site/project requirements, product limitations/levers, technological levers, and time to market

  • Perform load analysis, load mitigations, numerical modeling/simulations of site requirements, controller tuning, controller modeling, control design, verifications

  • Working with peers, Technical Leads, Functional leads, and specialists on developing load and controls solutions

  • Working closely with sales/commercial and technical/product/technology development stakeholders in developing solutions Working with certification bodies like DNV to ensure suitable certification of our solutions

  • Participate in Implementation & Functional Reviews

  • Perform the RCA on load exceedances & provide the solutions

  • Provide the solution for turbine improvements on non-standard product requests, Service solutions

  • The work involves a high level of engineering i.e. balancing a solution towards various specific requirements

  • You will be responsible for documenting and presenting your work in a precise way to your internal and external stakeholders

  • You are expected to contribute to process improvements with innovative solutions in order to deliver the projects more efficiently and smartly



  • Ph.D., M.Sc/ or similar in Mechanical engineering, structural engineering, aerodynamics, computational engineering, civil engineering, Control/instrumentation engineering, or similar

  • 0-2 years of experience (master thesis/internship/student work) in load and controls in Wind turbine/similar domain

  • Deep understanding of structural dynamics, control systems



  • Previous experience with limited supervision completing the projects

  • Hands-on experience on loads evaluation for standard platform turbines or site-specific Experience with the wind turbine modeling tools like Flex5, Bladed or HAWC2 (aero-elastic simulations) or similar

  • Efficient competencies within a innovative simulation of mechanical systems

  • Knowledge of control of mechanical systems

  • Matlab, Simulink knowledge

  • probability, statistics

  • Experience in scrum/project management activities in following milestones and meeting deadlines

  • Basic programming in any language

  • It is expected that you are able to define engineering solutions within the area from start to end. You should be pragmatic and quality-conscious, eager to take up opportunities, have a natural understanding of innovation, and thrive with varied tasks and constant changes from day to day. You achieve goals as part of a team, collaborate and share knowledge with colleagues and stakeholders. You shall be result oriented with a good focus on a timeline with the right quality

  • Good to have an experience like planning, and guiding the project. You should contribute to the bottoms-up approach for a roadmap & innovative mindset. You should have an open mind to learn & build your competencies
