Vestas Technology & Operations is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within Aerodynamic & Mechanical, you'll find our department, Pitch Actuation, as part of the Hub Module.
Our team is a diverse group of 14 employees and 2 external consultants spread across Denmark, Portugal, and India. The team primarily consists of engineers specializing in mechanical engineering, software engineering, and related fields.
Despite being geographically dispersed, we function as a close-knit, international family-collaborating, supporting, and growing together.
As part of our team, you will work alongside us to design, develop, test, and debug accumulator and cylinder systems, contributing to innovative solutions in pitch actuation technology.
Responsibilities
- Support the Pitch Actuation Team by analyzing case details, identifying root causes, and ensuring timely and accurate solutions
- Assist in the development of detailed engineering designs, models, and drawings using CAD software
- Conduct dynamic analysis and simulation of hydraulics using MATLAB/Simulink or Python
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and service to ensure effective product development and launch
- Participate in prototype testing and analysis to evaluate product performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Provide technical support to service teams and assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Work closely with relevant teams to implement corrective actions and address issues effectively
- Maintain detailed records of case resolutions, provide feedback for continuous improvement, and contribute to the team's overall performance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink or Python
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Competencies
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Good understanding of hydraulics and related industry standards & regulations
- Experience with system engineering tools such as DFMEA, HSE assessments, and requirement specifications
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Creo) is an added value

Additional information
