Vestas Power Solutions (VPS) is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within Vestas Power Solutions (VPS), you'll find our module, Turbine Control SW, as part of Applications, Controls & Electrical. Our module has offices in Chennai, Porto, and Denmark, delivering control software solutions to all Vestas turbines. You will be part of the software team that works on the hydraulics and yaw areas, working closely with our mechanical modules.
Responsibilities
As a Lead Control Software Engineer, you will:
- Collaborate closely with the software developers in the team and with the stakeholders in the auxiliary power area
- Participate in full project lifecycles using Agile practices for the software development
- Participate in the definition of the functional and software requirements of the turbine's control systems
- Be committed in writing and updating, comprehensive technical documentation and maintaining software functionality
- Be responsible for developing and maintaining our control systems for the various hardware components of the turbine
- Be developing high-quality software in an engaging and complex domain
- Engage in root cause analysis to identify potential turbine performance issues and contribute to continuously improving our processes, software, and tools
Qualifications
- MSc or BSc in Control Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science or similar
- 5-7 years of relevant work experience
- Advanced programming skills in C/C++ and Matlab/Simulink
- Object Oriented & State based software design
- Hands-on experience with product or technology development
- Desire and ability to understand and maintain an overview of a wide range of advanced technical domains
- Experience with GIT, JIRA, and other Atlassian tools
