Vestas Global Procurement is responsible for all procurement activities within Vestas, including leading cross-functional category teams, negotiations and contract management, development of end-to-end cost out initiatives, category strategy development and supplier relationship management.
This position is a part of the Mechanical team within the Nacelle area with a global team located in Aarhus, Porto, Tianjin, São Paulo and Chennai. You will have the global procurement responsibility for the commodity Composite Covers, including the supplier account management for critical suppliers within the commodity.
Responsibilities
You will join an experienced global team with a high level of strategic exposure within Vestas. You will become a specialist within your area and will have a broad interface across the organization. Overall expected deliverables include:
- Leading the Covers and Collisite Commodity team and overall responsible for commodity strategy development
- Supplier Account Manager for critical covers and collisite suppliers, with whom you will make account plans containing joint strategies and cost-out initiatives
- Organize the segmentation of the supply base and build a close relationship with the strategic suppliers in the commodity to continuously deliver value through long term partnership
- Stakeholder management, both internal and external, to secure alignment across different stakeholders. Keep management informed and advised about the commodity, suppliers, and the market
- Play a key role in Vestas' processes and projects across the organization, e.g., new production introduction, modularization, localization, design-to-cost and cost out initiatives
- Oversee the negotiation process end-to-end with involvement of your key stakeholders to reduce costs with a focus on what is best for Vestas. And as a result, secure outstanding contract management
- Be a change agent who can collaborate, and partner with stakeholders to produce results for Vestas and apply changes effectively
- Engage purposefully in the global Nacelle team, contributing to excellence with your colleagues across the globe
Qualifications
- A degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or similar
- Experience with strategic procurement or related supply chain activities
- Experience within commodity management, including commodity strategy development
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Products
- Effective communication skills incl. fluency in English, both spoken and written

Additional information
This is a hybrid position based in Porto, Portugal and requires up to 25 travel days per year.
