Join Vestas Power Solutions (VPS) & Quality, where new product solutions for wind turbines are developed, improved, and validated across their lifecycle. Within VPS & Quality, the CIM & Serious Incidents area works with complex technical and quality-related cases affecting installed wind turbines globally. We are a team of more than 100 engineers and project managers located across Denmark, the UK, India, and Portugal.
Our mission is to identify root causes, define upgrade solutions, and ensure safe, high‑quality operation of wind turbines worldwide. This includes managing improvement initiatives within turbine software, digital platforms, and connectivity solutions, always with a clear focus on safety, reliability, and structured execution.
Responsibilities
- Take end‑to‑end ownership of software‑focused improvement projects, ensuring structured execution from initiation through handover to implementation
- Plan and manage scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, budget, and provisioning to ensure transparency and delivery control throughout the project lifecycle
- Lead projects within turbine control software, digital platforms, and connectivity solutions, aligned with product and release strategies
- Work closely with Technical Lead(s) to define and execute the most appropriate technical and delivery approach
- Promote clear and consistent communication with stakeholders across engineering, business, and operations in a global environment
- Establish and maintain project governance and ways of working, using Jira as a core tool for backlog management, progress tracking, dependency handling, and reporting
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, preferably in software, digital, or technology‑driven environments
- Solid understanding of software development fundamentals and delivery in complex technical organizations
- Experience working with agile development teams within a stage‑gate or regulated environment
- Demonstrated ability to establish and document project governance, reporting, and decision structures
- Solid experience with risk management, dependency handling, and mitigation planning
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders across functions and geographies
- Solid proficiency in Jira as a core delivery and project management tool
