The Nacelle Project Management Department consists of 15+ highly skilled and qualified Project Managers and Planners at three different sites (India, Portugal and Denmark). The department is responsible for the portfolio management and execution of projects in the Nacelle Module where we have 200+ employees. We are responsible for the full lifecycle of the product and, therefore, projects can be both technology projects, new product development and projects to support the operational part of the business.
The Nacelle Module is primarily developing structural and mechanical components, while also having a close collaboration with several other modules and the entire value chain.
Responsibilities
- You will be running several module or sub-module projects which will require good coordination, planning and execution in close coordination with the value chain
- You need to ensure that the project is planned and delivered as agreed within the project boundaries (Requirements, Scope, Plans, Budget, Quality)
- You will be responsible for risk and issue management for your projects
- You will be responsible for your project budgets together with the Line Organisation
- You will always have broad external exposure in the company, and you need to build and maintain relations with a large range of stakeholders in the entire value chain, keeping your project team motivated and your stakeholders supported to deliver the project effectively
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business or other relevant field
- Minimum 2-4 years of proven experience in management of medium to high complexity R&D projects within the Manufacturing Industry ideally
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Experience using project management tools such as SAP PPM, MS-Project, and JIRA
- Experience with managing several projects simultaneously
- Experience with global matrix organizations and managing many stakeholders across the value chain
- Project management education or relevant project management training courses
- Project management certifications (e.g. within Prince2 or IPMA) are an added value

- You have good interpersonal skills including proficiencies in conflict resolution
- You have a solid commercial understanding and can naturally incorporate external partners, as well as the full value chain of Vestas, into your daily work
- You have enhanced communication skills verbally and in writing and you are experienced in communicating with stakeholders at all levels
- You are decisive and capable of prioritizing the work
- You are structured and you are good at getting administrative tasks processed
