Supply Chain Operations is part of Vestas' growing and evolving Service Business Unit.

The department is responsible for planning, repairing, certifying, and providing technical support for tools required for the MRO business.

 

Responsibilities

  • Analyze past demand and liaise with stakeholders to calculate the forecast for future tool demands
  • Calculate safety stock and lot size for tool warehouses
  • Analyze and define models to decide when tools shall be centralized in the main warehouse vs decentralized in site warehouses
  • Define a model to calculate the ratio of tools per megawatt depending on turbine platform, contract scope, etc.
  • Inventory management, such as balancing of surplus, performing investigations for major stock deviation, etc.
  • Follow up on open orders with the buying team until tools are received in the warehouse
  • Define the logic for a KPI to measure the on-time delivery
  • Follow up on the open movement to ensure that movements are done on time

 

Qualifications

  • Education related to supply chain management and logistics
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a planning role
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Driver’s license

 

Competencies

  • Analytical skills to find cause-and-effect links and identify trends
  • Familiar with MRP, safety stocks, minimum lot size and other planning parameters
  • Stakeholder management at different levels
  • Definition and execution of action plans
  • Create relevant and impactful reports and presentations

Additional information

This is a hybrid role that requires up to 10% travel annually. The position is open in the following locations: Zaragoza, Madrid, A Coruña, Taranto, Patra, Champagne, and Balikesir. Please note that we are unable to offer relocation packages or visa sponsorship. Therefore, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the country where they are applying and able to provide proof of eligibility.
