Currently, we are looking for a Service Team Leader to join our committed Service Team in Kannus at Vestas Finland Oy.

A Vestas Service Team Leader is an immediate manager for a group of around 20-30 service technicians and is responsible for carrying out the company strategy in this area. Preparing for the future as well as ensuring performance and a professional mindset in the team today are required to achieve goals as a leader in this role.


Team Leader has the operational responsibility for the Service team's performance and budget targets. Activities affecting the operational part of the business are the responsibility of the Team Leader with the goal to develop the business to become more efficient in close collaboration with the Planner. In this role, you will be a part of a group of Team Leaders who are sharing the work of improving cross-functional collaboration and improvements in our fieldwork.

A Team Leader is occasionally delegated tasks or projects by the Area Manager. This position is one of the organizational leadership pipelines into the Area Manager position in Finland but also prepares for leadership work elsewhere in the organization as well.



  • Supervise the most efficient execution of the plan that was made. Setting operational expectations and creating effective routines for technicians, following up performance by assuring safety, quality, and timeliness of work and reporting conducted by technicians and constantly looking for ways to optimize and improve on safety, quality, and cost
  • Be responsible for the hiring of and performance discussions with technicians
  • Effectively cooperate and communicate with other stakeholders in Service Sweden/Nordic and externally as well as other internal departments, such as other Team leaders in the field, planning, lean, admin, projects, PFO, technical support, Special Task, and QSE functions
  • Be committed to decisions taken by the Company and to follow processes that are adequate for the service business
  • Have a good business sense and good economical understanding in order to bring results
  • To be a professional people leader and motivator and to guide by delegating appropriate responsibility



  • People Leadership skills
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in supervising teams of at least 10 people
  • Educational or practical background of 3 years minimum
  • Comfortable with achieving and knowing how to get results through others
  • Good communication skills, including fluency in the Finnish language. At least advanced English language (B2/C1) skills are required.
  • Take an enthusiastic role in developing a learning organization
  • Previous experience of having own economical responsibility, such as a budget, an income target, a utilization factor, etc.



  • Ability to operationalize a strategy for your own area
  • Ability to convert targets received into operational high-performance and work requirements for your staff as well as aligning the organization with the strategy (i.e. on cost or safety)
  • Comfortable with direction and expectation setting within Vestas quality, safety, and cost goals as well as maintaining standards
  • Understanding, application ability, and willingness to work in your team with Continuous Improvement methodology (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile)
  • You actively seek to clarify expectations and roles at your level and for the level below you. This is done to secure the best performance, ownership of responsibilities, and to avoid unnecessary conflicts
  • Openness to being questioned on your thinking and receiving constructive criticism and feedback
