In this role you will be part of the Regional Operations Support team for Service Onshore. The goal of local Regional Operation Engineering team to assist service department with wind farm operation by providing technical supports and solutions, optimizing turbine performance and supporting enhancement of technicians' skillset. Separately, the team will be also engineering projects related to cost-out and operational readiness activities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Sales engagement on projects from proposal through to FOI stage.
  • Forecast Capex expenditure for new wind farms coming online. Oversee tool capex expenditure and forecasting
  • Ensure gates N to Q of the Operational Readiness & Service sales Frameworks are followed to ensure the transition of wind farms from CPX to service.
  • Update the progress of each project plan by using the MS Planner tool provided.
  • Draft RSPL to generate site SS.
  • Create Tools catalogue specific for sites. Ensure all equipment is onsite for service operation readiness by overseeing all stages of approvals and purchase.
  • Review data and give feedback that will input BI reports for operational readiness overview Monitor new site performance up until 12m production to ensure Ops readiness service KPI are delivered.
  • Track and highlight service risk from installation phase, until 1st year production. Participate in lessons learned sessions post projects to enable continuous improvement on processes.
  • Provide general PM support to service operations for special cases upon request by management.

 

Qualifications

  • University degree in Engineering
  • At least 5 years of working experiences preferably in wind industry or energy sector
  • Working knowledge on various Vestas Fleet would be advantage
  • Experiences in interactions with local authorities would be advantage
  • Strong Diagnostic and troubleshooting technical skills with emphasis on root cause analysis
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written English

 

Competencies

  • Intermediate MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Some degree of physical fitness in order to climb turbines
  • Highly developed communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily work without any supervision
  • Ability to utilize all identified the tools and systems listed in the relevant skills matrix for this position
  • Ability to participate effectively as part of team
  • Ability to work in pressure/time critical environment
  • Self-motivated; self-directed
