Purpose and reason for the existence of the job
The Vestas NCE Offshore Service department is responsible for operations and maintenance of the wind turbines at offshore windfarms located in the North Sea at Nort Central Europe. The department has an open and informal culture, where teamwork and good communication are the key to effective operations. You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting industry and in a team of highly motivated employees.

Responsibilities: 

  • Working to the highest safety and environmental standards whilst ensuring that service targets are met.
  • Develop a detailed knowledge of our wind turbines.
  • Perform periodic service inspections in accordance with Vestas specifications together with component replacement (electrical, mechanical and hydraulic) and troubleshooting on the systems.
  • Maintain accurate document trails through CMMS.
  • Registration of time & Materials to Work Orders.
  • Monitor Turbines and pro-actively prepare for the required maintenance.

 

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an electrical or mechanical apprenticeship or practical experience in relevant fields.
  • Technical education (Electrical/Mechanical/Hydraulics).
  • Previous accreditation as an AT/CT under WTSR would be advantageous.
  • Ability to read/interpret technical drawings to support fault-finding and/or maintenance activities.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft products (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams) and general IT, possibly with SAP experience
    Fluent in English.
  • Full Dutch / European Driving License - Having personal transportation is a pre.

Additional Information
Based from Den Helder, you will work on a 2-week on/2-weeks off rotation, SOV Based at our Hollandse Kust West - Oranjewind.  
Additionally, for the first 24 months travel to different locations will also take place due to training purposes. 
This is a local Dutch contract thus candidates are to reside in the Netherlands and be in possession of a Dutch working permit will only be considered.
