(Graduate) SCADA Engineer (f/m/d) - Hamburg, Husum or Berlin

Plant Engineering is a part of Service NCE (Northern & Central Europe) and supports the organization in installing and servicing a great number of SCADA systems, controlling medium and large sized wind power plants. Our job is to turn a bunch of wind turbines into a power plant, according to contractual and regional requirements.


Our customers can mainly be found among larger power supply companies and professional investors.

As a SCADA Engineer you will implement and service environmental control systems such as e.g. ice control, shadow flicker, bat protection and aviation light control. Furthermore, you will be a part of a team, responsible for commissioning and maintaining these Vestas SCADA solutions, but also of other automated functionalities in our power plants (e.g. Vestas Dispatch), based on Vestas standards and customer requirements. You ensure knowledge transfer and contributes in optimizing and improving our product solutions.


Main tasks:

  • Configuration and commissioning of power plants to fulfil environmental requirements (e.g. ice protection, shadow flicker, bat protection, bird protection and aviation lights) and power plant curtailment local requirements (e.g. dispatch)
  • Configuration and parametrisation of server and network monitoring systems for local and environmental requirements
  • Support service and troubleshooting of functionalities in power plants
  • System upgrades and support for After Sales projects
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation
  • Remote commissioning and testing
  • Participate in development /improvements projects to increase efficiency of systems and to improve customer satisfaction




This position is all about technical support. We're looking for someone who wants to use his/her technical expertise as a platform for creating great implementations for our customers. Even if you just have finished your university education, please feel free to apply for this job.

  • Engineer degree, e.g. Automation, IT, Software Engineering or Telecommunications
  • Experience with SCADA systems, PLC programming or automation (focus on knowledge of structured text and ladder logic)
  • Knowledge of computer networks and their configuration (focus on troubleshooting)
  • Experience of programming languages (e.g. C, C++, PowerShell scripting, JavaScript) would be appreciated
  • Experience with server and network monitoring systems would be appreciated
  • Experience on communication protocols (MODBUS, OPC) would be appreciated
  • Basic knowledge of SQL databases would be appreciated
  • Industrial electricity and electronics knowledge would be appreciated
  • Professional English skills, both in speech and writing
