Project Manager, Serious Incidents

The AME Serious Incidents team's purpose is to allow VAME to provide a safe, efficient, and uniform response in cases of significant component damage, customer visibility, and safety risk. The SI team consolidates the knowledge of many groups across the Vestas organization to assist in initial response and safe approach, damage assessment and material identification, safe removal of material, component replacement and return to service, and root cause investigation.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing all stages of project activities due to serious incident events (thermal, extreme environmental conditions, etc).
- Work closely with Service and Construction site management, QSE, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, and other support functions for effective project execution.
- Coordinate, schedule and direct work of onsite personnel, contractors and customers for decommissioning and installation activities.
- Oversee inventory and tool ordering, usage and tracking.
- Identify opportunities for cost and time savings, mitigate delays and undue expenses, coordinate work in accordance to budgeted targets.
- Clearly communicates project progress to key stakeholders.
- Is overall responsible for safe execution of projects with minimal supervision from higher level management.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience as project manager, project lead, or other management experience, is beneficial in a related service, industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated ability to build and deliver a focused team / operation.
- Demonstrated completed project in understanding commercial terms, and negotiation strategy, balancing business profitability and customer needs.
- Comprehensive English communications skills (verbal, listening, written, meeting management, presentation).
- Safely climb a wind turbine.
- PC computer skills (MS Office) required.

- Ability to develop and maintain project scope and maintain budget and P&L requirements.
- Technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems to develop repairs.
- Experienced with customer interaction and business development.
