Vestas Asia Pacific provides both sales and service of wind power plants in Australia, New Zealand, India, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, and more recently in the emerging countries across South East Asian countries such as Thailand, Vietnam and Mongolia.

In the Service Department, our focus is to provide our clients with high quality and best possible production of their wind power plants. With our long standing innovative experience with and service experience globally, we work to ensure that we supervise our clients' plants effectively to get the most out of each turbines while upholding to our commitment to safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • As Site Manager, you will be responsible to engage in the operation and maintenance of Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) and the supervision and coordination of the Vietnam wind farm sites
  • Ensure safety & quality standards are delivered, while also ensuring process adherence
  • Effectively organize the site/area as well as external service capabilities maximizing profitability in line with contractual obligations to the specific clients, and Vestas corporate requirements
  • Deliver operational performance to meet requirements of forecast and planning
  • Direct line management responsibility of local field operations team
  • Continually implement change management in line with operations development
  • Develop the skills and competencies necessary for the organization at local level in line with operations management

 

Qualifications

  • Proven history of an operational or service management role; for example, a project management, field service or contract management position
  • Solid leadership experience, developing and mentoring on site teams
  • Business improvement skills and experience to enable operating in a fast-changing environment, ideally with Lean knowledge
  • Engineering background working in a complex industry is desirable
  • High degree of Safety Management & Systems understanding
  • Experience in building a great relationships with clients, the council and the local community
