The Customer Project Execution (CPX) organisation is responsible for the installation, commissioning, and handover of wind farms to our customers. Close collaboration with customers and other stakeholders is essential to ensure these processes are completed safely, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards.
In this role, you will join the Cost Management team for the NCE Region, working on both Onshore and Offshore projects. The Cost Management and New Markets department oversees all cost-related aspects during the project’s sales phase, including processes and governance. Additionally, we facilitate CPX’s entry into new markets by ensuring Vestas’ due diligence and compliance with country-specific operational regulations.
Senior Manager (m/w/d) of Cost Management & New Markets at Vestas, is responsible for significant contributions and method enhancements. An essential contributor to the CPX Costing team will focus on creating thorough and efficient budgets for On- and Offshore projects.
 
Responsibilities 

  • Set up, manage, and develop the CPX Costing & New Markets team.
  • Establish a stable but scalable Costing organisation aligned with CPX and Vestas strategy.
  • Own and run the CPX-Vestas Gate Processes and construction bid governances.
  • Implement and oversee cost governance across the entire NCE portfolio.
  • Oversee cross-functional and region-wide budgeting processes, delivering high-quality project budgets.
  • Cultivate reliable stakeholder relationships to ensure comprehensive and competitive budgets, promoting cost awareness and transparency.
  • Develop and integrate new costing standards and manage market entry processes and risk management for new markets.

 
Qualifications

  • Effectively able to build, supervise, and develop a skilled and innovative team.
  • University degree in business administration, engineering, or a comparable field.
  • Relevant knowledge in project management / controlling, or leadership.
  • Structured yet creative working methods with solid cost awareness.
  • Affinity for financial figures and proficient handling of common MS Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Fluent in English.

  • Efficient networking skills to identify and engage business stakeholders
  • Ability to remain effective in tough situations.
  • Enjoyment of cross-departmental work with quick comprehension and technical thinking / mindset.
  • Cross-cultural insight and understanding.
  • Willingness to travel around 50 – 60 days per year.

Additional information
Primary work location: we are open for candidates to be based in Aarhus, Denmark or Hamburg, Germany.
Expected travel: approximately 50-60 days per year
