Sales Central is part of Vestas Northern and Central Europe (NCE); the largest Business Unit of Vestas Wind Systems A/S, the leading manufacturer of wind turbines.


The Sales Central team consists of a diverse group of skilled and motivated colleagues covering Germany, Austria, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. The sales team include Sales Managers and Commercial Engineers and work with many stakeholders from different functional areas. Our sales team works across five different offices, always pursues an open dialogue and respectful collaboration without silos. We are purpose focused and are enthusiastic about renewable energy!

In the next years, we expect the German onshore market to growth and to reach new heights. We in Sales Central are taking the lead in preparing our organization, our customers and the broader market for this exciting journey. While doing this, we will overhaul and massively improve the way we work in Sales to increase our market share, reduce transaction cost, and keep a high level of quality in our projects from the early sales phase until the operations of the wind turbines. As a Sales Manager you (f/m/d) play an integral role in directing and effectively closing projects throughout the entire sales cycle. By staying in close contact with both internal and external stakeholders you (f/m/d):

  • are integral in meeting and exceeding our annual order intake targets, by leading colleagues throughout the sales cycle, from prospects identification, tendering, deal optimization, to negotiation and closure of supply contracts.
  • remain close to our customers and will be responsible for establishing and developing our customer relationships, building trust and create an understanding for customers’ business case and based on that provide ideal value propositions
  • are a key enabler in creating the business case and manage the communication and input between internal and external stakeholders
  • stay up to date on market trends, customer and competitor activities and share insight amongst sales managers and other colleagues
  • contribute to the development of Vestas' commercial strategy


We expect you (f/m/d):

  • have a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent
  • to bring a high level of proven experience in Sales, Commercial Sales or Business Development, ideally within renewable energy or another project-based sector
  • will bring a solid level of contract negotiation skills and experience with complex technical contracts from your career so far
  • have the ability to identify and involve business stakeholders
  • are fluent German and English (these language skills are a mandatory requirement)


  • Result-oriented attitude and an ability to thrive in ever-changing conditions
  • Confident attitude and solid communication skills 
  • Effective stakeholder management skills
  • Solid financial understanding and investigative capabilities
  • Ability to work under time sensitive environments and willingness to go the "extra mile"
