Vestas Supplier Quality and Development is a part of Global procurement in Vestas. We implement Vestas winning quality culture towards the supplier with clear focus to ensure our "doing its right 1st time" philosophy focusing on qualified suppliers. The key task is the strategic and operational development of key suppliers in North Central Europe, South Europe, Turkey, Middle East & Africa region by performing site audits, supplier assessments and leading QSE improvement projects to enforce high supplier performance, zero incidents and reduce the number non-conformities.
We are the ambassadors of all quality topics with suppliers e.g., enabling supplier innovation in new turbine development projects, thus propelling Vestas aspirational strategy.
Responsibilities
- Deploy the Vestas Quality, Safety and Environment Strategy towards external suppliers and lead and conduct supplier development projects and supplier local initiatives
- Ensure supplier quality, capability, and performance topics on behalf and in compliance with regional & global strategy
- Implement new markets entry strategy & new supplier onboarding ensuring Vestas processes are followed
- Secure agreement with regional QHSE & Construction team for completion of supplier improvement activities.
- Lead QSE activities in cases of non-quality performance and incidents with suppliers in line with Vestas’s requirements.
- Direct Supplier Business Review Meetings with cross-functional participation
- Ensure that relevant QSE agreements with suppliers are in place and conduct QHSE audits and prepare-present executive report
Qualifications
- Master's or bachelor's degree in mechanical, process, construction, or industrial engineering
- Extensive industry experience in the manufacturing environment having worked in a supplier quality engineering role
- Relevant experience within mechanical, crane, installation, construction and offshore installation commodities
- Relevant experience in introducing a product from development, through production to operations
- Previous experience in a similar environment of an international matrix organization
- Certified auditor/lead/Internal auditor ISO or other standards is an added value
- Six Sigma Green Belt or other quality-safety certifications is an added value
