Vestas Factory

The Sales Business Unit (SBU) - Vestas Northern & Central Europe covers sales, construction and service of Vestas wind turbines in NCE countries Onshore and Offshore.
The service departments are responsible for maintenance, repair, and execution of continuous improvement upgrades on our Vestas wind turbine systems within related countries. Teamwork and communication are our key to success in our quest to become the best Region within the Vestas Group.
Service & Construction Academy NCE is anchored within the Regional Operations department NCE. Key deliveries are technical & functional trainings Onshore and Offshore. Our key stakeholders are internal Service & Construction Technicians as well as Subcontractors and Customers. Focus is to deliver requested trainings on time and based on the growth within each NCE region.

 

Responsibilities


As Manager Field Operations & Performance, you are an important part of the coordination and execution activities of technical & functional trainings within NCE region.
Focus is on establishing the Functional Training area to cover non-technical trainings such as Salesforce and SAP.
As a Manager Field Operations & Performance you are responsible for the strategic, efficient, and timely support of assigned tasks to Service & Construction Academy NCE team according to the requirements coming from our customers internally and externally. You meet the declared will of Vestas Services for a continuous improvement process and sustainable, quantitative growth through a strong focus on company goals (EBIT, LPF, LoP, Safety & Vestas Values). You make decisions based on regularly collected performance and process indicators.
Your engagement ensures the achievement of the business goals in accordance with the Group strategy and the contractual fulfilment of our obligations towards the customers.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Diploma-/or master's degree in mechanical engineering or in Marine- and Technical Engineering, and 5+ years working with drivetrain components within Wind Turbines, Aerospace, Automotive, Heavy Industries or similar
  • Experience in mechanical failure analysis & solution development Knowledge and experience creating failure forecasts based on statistical methods
  • Leadership experience
  • Experience in performance management and continuous improvement
  • Experience with change and conflict management
  • May be required to travel <25%
  • Proficiency in English, German knowledge desirable
