Construction HSE Management oversees the implementation and monitoring of health, safety, and environmental operations at Northern Central Europe onshore and offshore sites. Our dedicated team includes HSE managers, HSE Team Leads, and HSE professionals from both Vestas employees and external sub-contractors.
We manage project-specific HSE tasks during the planning, preparation, and execution phases, such as liaising with internal and external stakeholders, advising and influencing the project team on HSE topics, daily HSE reporting on incidents and observations, communicating with the client and project team on HSE matters, promoting day-to-day HSE awareness and communication on site.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop direct reports and the overall team
  • Deliver daily operational resources to meet forecast and planning requirements
  • Recruit and lead HSE professionals
  • Support additional stakeholders, including site management and project teams
  • Foster team building, motivation, satisfaction, and development
  • Implement Vestas culture and strategies, driving the Installation & Commissioning agenda
  • Ensure compliance with the Vestas Health & Safety Management System and gather feedback for optimization


Qualifications

  • Vocational training in technical or safety engineering or a relevant field with transferable skills
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Health, Safety, and Environment, preferably within the wind industry or civil engineering
  • Previous distance management experience
  • Proven leadership experience in a similar role
  • Fluent in both German and English
  • Proficiency in IT skills (SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Full driver's license

Additional information
Primary work location: Husum or Hamburg
This position requires up to 80 days travel per year to various sites across Germany.
