Describe the department:

Offshore Service Resources is part of the NCE Service organisation in Vestas with the Offshore Service Resource area responsible for providing employees solutions to work on service, improvement, optimisation and repair assignments within the offshore business.



You will be part of a team of technicians with the following main areas of responsibility:

  • Lead the way in creating a safe working environment for your team while on the turbine and in the wind farm while encouraging reporting of incidents, near misses and unsafe acts and conditions.
  • Lead the service, troubleshooting, main component and upgrade teams to deliver scheduled and unscheduled activities on the wind farm.
  • Direct supervision and support of the team on site.
  • Daily management and division of tasks / projects.
  • Preparation and execution of work packages including reporting on progress.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide the necessary guidance and governance to ensure compliance with Vestas' policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that the Vestas Core Values are adhered to.



Wind Industry experience – for example - Siemens qualified Level 5, or other manufacturers, with ideally, minimum 3 years' experience.

Formal Mechanical or Electrical Qualifications

  • Experienced in all aspects of servicing wind turbines and troubleshooting activities
  • Previous experience as a team leader of technicians and external subcontractors.
  • All GWO certificates required to travel offshore.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft products and general IT with SAP experience.

Expected travel

  • You will be primarily working on a rotation setup of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off.
  • You will be travelling while on shift, to sites within the RCE Region.
