Offshore based operations initially on our Service Operation Vessel (SOV) for the Offshore Wind Farm Deutsche Bucht consisting of 31 x V164 wind turbines with 8,4 MW each.
You will work in a key role of our Service team. Temporarily travel to other Offshore wind farms within Vestas for training, education and sharing experience is a vital part of the offered position.

 

Your basis is your technical background as Service technician: 

  • Friction-less operation of our turbines and use of our systems 
  • Maintenance & Repair on electrical and mechanical systems
  • Trouble shooting of electrical and mechanical systems and fault diagnosis
  • Carrying out a diversity of check-ups, repairs and replacement activities of turbine components


In addition you will manage & coordinate service operations on site in cooperation with the Offshore Service Supervisor, which consist of:

  • Plan & coordinate service tasks on a daily basis
  • Organize vessel + O&M team transfers
  • Monitor weather forecasts
  • Prepare transfer plans + Daily reports
  • Create and manage work orders in SAP & Approve hours of technicians
  • Maintain and update planning board
  • Assist the implementation of new procedures/processes
  • Planning of annual service and maintenance
  • Input to Monthly Customer Report
  • Ensure implementation of Upgrades
  • Cooperate with the customer representatives to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Being part of and lead the team of offshore engineers
  • Fault finding and rectification on electrical and mechanical systems
  • Completing scheduled service on wind turbines
  • Compliance to Vestas Health and Safety Management system
  • General support to the Service Manager

Your competencies:

  • Completed training as an electrician, electrician or mechatronics engineer (EFK appointment possible)
  • Preferably you have worked in the wind and/or offshore industry.
  • Experience as a Teamleader and in the area of medium or high voltage systems is an advantage
  • Good English and German skills both spoken and written
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office & SAP
