Vestas is looking for a highly experienced Public Relations and communications profile to implement, oversee and expand our Public Relations and media strategy in Northern Europe with a special focus on Germany. As our Communications & PR Specialist (m/f/d), you'll lead efforts to expand public relations and media engagement while collaborating with public affairs, marketing, and other teams to enhance Vestas' reputation across Germany and Northern Europe.

 

Responsibilities

We are now seeking to employ a colleague who is highly motivated to advance Vestas' reputation and build cross-functional alignment in a global organization. Your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Support media and public relations, with a special focus on maturing Vestas' reputation as an increasingly influential player in the energy industry
  • As part of the Communications team establish and build relationships with tier one media
  • Advise members of Regional Management; handling issues management and spokesperson preparation as well as handling media engagements
  • Play a key role as a spokesperson on behalf of Vestas in response to external inquiries
  • You will also work closely with your fellow communication professionals across the globe to ensure close coordination with other activities across Vestas' global channels

 

Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced media relations professional with great stakeholder management skills and an established media network, especially in Germany. To meet the responsibilities outlined above, the following qualifications are considered valuable:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business
  • Minimum eight years’ experience in positions related to communications and public relations
  • Experience in overseeing PR in a highly profiled company or institution in Germany with global reach
  • Prior substantive professional experience in the energy sectors or related industries
  • Existing relationship with key media, especially in Germany
  • High-level proficiency in written and oral communication in English and German

  • Highly motivated, flexible, and professional, with the ability to thrive when facing tight deadlines

Additional information

This position is based in Vestas offices in Hamburg, or Berlin, Germany. The role requires the ability to work on-site at least three days per week and will entail some travelling.
