Service Supervisor

Our small service team in Esbjerg manages and co-ordinates service operations on site; we plan service tasks on a daily basis; we organise O&M team to perform work and monitor weather forecasts to plan if work can be carried out as arranged or not. We are a small, close-knit team; site is on shore, and you will be expected to travel onshore and offshore (offshore survival certs would be advantageous but not essential). Service department covers 4 x V164 WTGs installed at Måde, Esbjerg.

 

Responsibilities 
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will organise, plan and prepare all offshore activities and to ensure smooth and safe operations on the V164 wind farm Måde. You will have three direct reports (technicians) so line Manager experience will be required. You will be working closely with our customer and supervising a team of Technicians to service and maintain the wind farm. Your role will be to supervise and coordinate service operations on site, plan service tasks on a daily basis, organise O&M team to perform work, monitor weather forecasts, servicing the customer to ensure high customer satisfaction, compliance to (MHI) Vestas' Health and Safety Management system, offer general support to the Service Manager, supervise and ensure electrical safety works on site. We require solid communication and interpersonal skills (multi-site liaison required)
There is weekend “on call” which will be compensated and core working hours are 8am-4pm Monday to Friday – hours can be flexible and agreed locally. 
You will be responsible for: 

  • Creating service work orders in ERP (AX Dynamics) 
  • Maintain and update planning board 
  • Assist in implementing new procedures/processes 
  • Approve Technicians’ hours 
  • Planning of annual service and maintenance 
  • Input to the Monthly Customer Report 
  • Ensure implementation of upgrades

 

Qualifications 
You have completed an electrical or mechanical degree and it is required that you have experience with the V164 wind turbine. Also, it would be an advantage if you have electrical or mechanical experience, and if you have worked offshore and/or with high voltage. 
Further qualifications needed: 

  • Knowledge of how to coordinate general safety and safety awareness
  • Good organisational & time-management skills
  • Good English skills both oral and in writing as well as good communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office 
  • Full driver's license 
  • Ability to influence and guide others in a positive manner

  • Have experience from a planning role as well as wind turbine experience
  • Know how to handle general safety and safety awareness
  • Are a self-starter and possess great organisational and time management skills
  • Are you motivated , reliable, technically proficient and a collaborator
  • Have good knowledge of MS Office 
  • Have a full driving license, be able to multi-task
  • Can influence and direct others in a positive manner
