Sales Coordinator

Vestas UK is part of Vestas Northern and Central Europe; a Sales Unit of Vestas Wind Systems A/S, the largest manufacturer of wind turbines in the world. The Sales Coordinator function is anchored in the sales department but works across multiple functions in an international environment to deliver on Vestas “profitable growth” strategy.  We are responsible for sales of high value clean energy projects in a department with a flexible and open work environment.


Responsibilities

  • Project manage the sales process and documentation throughout the bidding process, ensuring timely passage through the stages of the sales process and involvement of internal stakeholders 
  • Prepare, support, and register bids and ensure timely submission of proposals. Ensure customer requirements and evaluation criteria are incorporated into the sales strategy and bids
  • Configure project builder in SAP and prepare project pre-calculations / budgets. Collect and analyse project cost quotations and estimates
  • Prepare presentations and analyse data on performance of fleet under service
  • Prepare and maintain correspondence with customers and update the CRM database
  • Participate in exhibitions, conferences and customer events and arrange customer meetings
  • Provide contract closing and negotiation support to the Sales Manager and handle the contract administration
  • Participate in hand-over meetings from sales to project execution and make inquiries to match production plans to sales and project execution programs

Qualifications

  • Master degree in engineering, business, economics or similar, with excellent grades. Please make sure you include your expected or confirmed result in your application
  • Relevant work experience from sales or commercial positions is an advantage
  • Experience from a consulting company is an advantage
  • Fluency in written and verbal English

  • Your networking and communication skills are excellent. You are flexible, service-minded and humble when working with customers and stakeholders

  • You thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced multi-cultural work environment
  • You have good IT skills (MS Office, SAP CRM and SAP Project Builder, the last two can be gained through training)

Additional information
The position will be located at Vestas’ office in central Edinburgh. 
There will be some travel across the Northern and Central Europe region from time to time also.
