Site Supervisor

Vestas are looking for an experienced site supervisor to provide a hands-on leadership approach to the execution of the nominated wind farm operation, providing mentoring for Safety, Quality and Cost.
As the Site Supervisor, you will provide a safe working environment for all persons on site by abiding by and implementing Vestas safety standards. You will ensure all service schedules are adhered to while continuing delivery of energy to the grid as per agreed KPI's with the client.
The department is a small team environment based on site at Dulacca Wind Farm. The technicians report to the site supervisor and are responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the wind turbines in accordance with the contract. Support is provided by an administrator, stock keeper and planner, with KPI's allocated by the Area Service Manager.
Responsibilities

Maintain site safety to required Vestas standards and drive a safe working culture among the team

Achieve wind farm performance standards while maintaining turbine scheduled service timeframes

Provide clear direction to service personnel

Maintain a good working relationship with the customer and key stakeholders

Provide mentoring and transfer of knowledge to the team

Maintain Safety KPIs within nominated targets

Ensure Service and Maintenance activities undertaken by Technicians are completed in accordance with Vestas HSE policies and procedures

Conduct toolbox and daily work pre-start team briefings. Ensure meeting notes are documented and attendance sheets filled out for review

Prepare and maintain work rosters including on-call rosters and schedules in consultation with Site Planner

Monitor staff performance in consultation with Site Manager using Continuous Performance Development (CPD) process

Identify personnel development needs and arrange staff development in consultation with Site Manager using CPD process

Develop and build a positive and productive working relationship within on-site team and other relevant internal and external stakeholders

Communicate and update site activities with customers' representative routinely

Monitor customer satisfaction, understand customer needs and suggest strategies to line managers

Collaborate with the Site Planner to ensure all planned work is performed within the planned schedule

Supervise and perform Wind Turbine Generator , eBoP and civil BoP maintenance activities that are specified within the scope of the O&M contract

Maintain and improve turbine reliability by monitoring Turbine performance indicators

Supervise maintenance, logistics and business records and ensure SAP and other reporting systems are accurate and up-to-date
Qualifications

Electrical or mechanical trade certificate (Preferred)

Cert IV in Project Management or a HSE discipline (Not essential)

Managing Safely certificate/diploma highly regarded
Competencies

Intermediate user of MS Office, ERP (SAP) and exposure to Service specific software programs
