Operating within the Northern & Central Europe business unit of Vestas Wind Systems A/S, Vestas Celtic Wind Technology Ltd focuses exclusively on selling, constructing and operating onshore wind power plants in UK and Ireland. With offices in Warrington and Dublin, the Service Department looks after the servicing and maintenance of over 1,560 wind turbines in UK and Ireland.

The Service department is responsible for service and maintenance of the wind farms within UK and Ireland. The department has an open and informal culture, where team work and good communication is the key to our success. You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting industry and in a team of highly motivated employees.

Responsibilities 
A role responsible for purchasing tasks, aligned with UK Service Support, also facilities management in conjunction with Dublin Air authority. 

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of purchase requests
  • Control Budgets by Focusing on costs for local purchasing, ensuring service is maintained 
  • Supplier liaison regarding disputes / payments
  • Build successful communication with Finance  
  • Facilities Management IRE
  • Drive continuous improvement of existing business processes within the team
  • Achieve strategic objectives of the company by following Vestas core values of Accountability Collaboration and Simplicity

Qualifications

  • You will hold some basic education in Maths and English, other qualifications may be useful
  • You will be experienced within some of the following areas; procurement, purchase orders, facilities finance, invoicing or similar administrative functions
  • Genuine desire and interest to build a career in the wind energy sector

Competencies

  • Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills
  • Self-driven, able to take ownership, but also focus on team success
  • Attention to detail and quality driven – follow processes and execute tasks efficiently
  • High degree of flexibility and ability to think outside the box, keen to look at improvements
  • Ability to resolve issues quickly with a high level of problem-solving skills
  • Experience in MS office functions including excel, word, powerpoint and outlook
  • Experience in SAP ERP an advantage

Additional information 
This position is a permanent position located full time in our Dublin office at the airport; you might be required to visit other offices from time to time but not on a regular basis or for long periods of time.
