Lead Material Handler 
US, Denver | Skilled Worker / Semi-Skilled Worker | Full-Time 

The Denver Spare Parts & Repair Center is in the process of growing a strong team in the support of tooling for the construction sites in the installation of wind turbines in North, Central, and South America. This Lead Materials Handler will become part of a global team, for a world leader in wind energy. 

 

Global Tools/Tools Region NCSA/Production and Repair
Oversees, coordinates and assists in Receiving, Order Processing, Shipping, Storing supplies and dispatch of materials to ensure effective and efficient operations and material transportation. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead a group of 10 Material Handlers in the daily production tasks of the warehouse.  Functions as a resource for department colleagues and internal customers.  
  • Utilizes SAP to maintain, receiving, order fulfillment, packaging and shipping of materials to service sites, and project sites.   
  • Ensure timely posting of all inventory transactions such as receiving, shipping and stock transfers.  Oversee order fulfillment, packing and crating of materials for sites & projects.  
  • Ensure accuracy of kit and container inventories and ensure a safe and clean work    environment.  Prioritize work of Material Handlers to assign work schedules.  
  • Implement measures to motivate employees and improve production methods to achieve work    goals.  Complete Daily logs.
  • Communicate with interdepartmental staff and support areas.  Maintain production or work orders.
  • Perform all operations in a manner which promotes safety.  Manage inventories and supplies
  • Operate forklift trucks, Stock Picker and other warehouse equipment.  Supervise kit and container documentation and new kit development.

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership skills with hands on “lead by example” approach. 
  • High school education or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in tools management and warehousing
  • Strong knowledge of products and tools.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to details and the ability to identify and resolve issues with production
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform under high pressure and changing work environment
