Service Supervisor

Our service team in Barrow-in-Furness supervises and co-ordinates service operations on 40 Vestas V164 WTG offshore; we plan service tasks daily; we organise O&M team to perform work and monitor weather forecasts to plan if work can be carried out as arranged or not. We are now looking for a committed Service Supervisor to complement the team, who will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of our offshore wind farm.

 

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will organise, plan and prepare all offshore activities and to ensure smooth and safe operations on the V164 Walney Extension Wind Farm. You will be working closely with our customer and supervising a team of Technicians to service and maintain the wind farm.
Your main tasks will be to:

  •    Supervise and coordinate service operations on site
  •    Plan service tasks daily
  •    Organize Vessel + O&M team transfers
  •    Monitor weather forecasts
  •    Prepare transfer plans + Daily reports
  •    Create service work orders in SAP
  •    Maintain and update planning tools
  •    Assist the implementation of new procedures/processes


Qualifications

You have completed an electrical or mechanical degree or completed an apprenticeship. You have completed at least 2 years of professional experience with electrical or mechanical systems, e.g. offshore or with high voltage.
Further qualifications needed:

  •   Knowledge of how to coordinate general safety and safety awareness
  •   Good organisational & time-management skills
  •   Good English skills both oral and in writing as well as good communication skills
  •   Basic knowledge of MS Office
  •   Full driver's license
  •   Ability to influence and guide others in a positive manner


 Competencies

  • Know how to handle general safety and safety awareness
  • Are a self-starter and possess great organisational and time management skills?
  • Are you motivated, trusted, technically proficient and a collaborator?
  • Have good knowledge of MS Office
  • Have a full driving license, be able to multi-task
  • Can influence and direct others in a positive manner
