Vestas have released a new and exciting role for an experienced and enthusiastic HSE Advisor based at our Golden Plains wind farm. As the successful candidate you will join an expert construction and installation team to collaborate on building the biggest wind farm in the southern hemisphere.
You will also join an extended team of like minded HSE professionals spread across Australia and New Zealand who contribute to provide project governance and implementation for Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) whilst providing visible leadership for Site Construction activities.
This is a unique role giving you the opportunity to bring your passion into the field and deliver our Vestas policies to all workers on site.
Responsibilities
- Provide effective project HSE support
- Project construction leadership and support in all HSE matters
- Ensure compliance of HSE systems and processes at the project site.
- Ensure compliance with statutory legislation for Workplace, Health, Safety and Environment (WHSE)
- Coordinate and conduct inspections
- Provide project leadership team HSE reports as requested
- Ensure compliance of HSE training within the project
- Implement project HSE documentation
- Develop and maintain a professional relationship with contractors, clients and other stakeholders
- Ensure all work carried out complies with Vestas Health, Safety and Environment requirements in accordance with Vestas policies objectives and targets
- Develop and assist coordination for Project HSE Delivery plan and initiatives
- Ensure project HSE targets and objectives are met
- Disseminate HSE related information to project personnel
Qualifications
- OHS/WHS Diploma (essential)
- OHS/WHS Advanced Diploma (preferred)
- Cert IV Training and Assessment (preferred)
Competencies
- Demonstrate commitment to Safety, Environment and Sustainability at all times
- Provide effective coaching and training for Project team to meet local HSE targets and objectives
- Demonstrate visible leadership
- Ensure a safe workplace and report all hazards and incidents immediately
- Comply with all site health, safety and environment policies and procedures
- Ensure all HSE policies and procedures are followed
- Ensure incidents are immediately reported and appropriate actions taken in accordance with Vestas HSE procedures
- Ensure all documentation is fully and accurately completed in a timely manner
- Advise and support Construction Management and Site HSE Lead in meeting all HSE requirements
