Vestas, a major player in sustainable energy solutions, is looking for a Trade Policy Specialist to join the Global Public Affairs team. We need someone who can collaborate with global and regional colleagues and key external stakeholders to track, analyze and shape policy and regulatory developments that affect our business, and advance policy solutions in the best interest of our global supply chain.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of Vestas' trade policy agenda
  • Develop policy positions and strategic recommendations aligned with business objectives
  • Input to the business on economic and geopolitical risk impacting global supply chains
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders as necessary, especially trade associations and government officials
  • Collaborate with industry peers on policy-related challenges and opportunities
  • Represent Vestas in national and regional wind industry associations on trade issues
  • Prepare policy briefings for senior leadership and draft memos, letters and other key documents on trade and other economic policy issues

 

Qualifications

  • Degree in economics, political science, law, business, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience (3-5 years) in policy and regulatory affairs, with solid knowledge of trade and investment
  • Knowledge of legislative and compliance procedure and frameworks

 

Competencies

  • Solid business acumen and the ability to connect policy work with commercial goals
  • Cultural adaptability and a demonstrated ability to work across multiple markets
  • Skilled at building relationships and networks, and comfortable acting as an external representative for Vestas
  • Fluent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly across diverse audiences
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to simplify complex issues and communicate them in a simple and effective way
  • Motivated individual who takes initiative and follows through on commitments

Additional information

Location: DK, Copenhagen or Aarhus. Other locations in Europe could be discussed for the right candidate.

Expected travel up to 30 days annually.
