Then this could be your opportunity to hold a key position as our new Special Investments Accountant.

 

Finance > Power Solutions > Development Finance

 

Development Finance serves as the finance business partner to Vestas' project development arm. Vestas Development develops wind power projects from greenfield to ready-to-build, with a portfolio of 27 GW across 11 core markets and 5 continents. In addition to the projects under development, Development Finance also oversees several significant special investments.

 

Responsibilities


In this role, you will manage key finance activities across our special investments portfolio, including:

  • Responsible for the accounting treatment of special investments, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and sound financial judgment
  • Oversee the financial review of investments in investment platforms and other special investment vehicles
  • Act as a trusted finance business partner to support and advise the business on investment decisions
  • Validate cash-call assumptions and provide forward-looking insight to support business planning and decision-making
  • Deliver clear reporting on the performance and outlook of special investments to inform stakeholders and support strategic follow-up
  • You will report to the VP, Head of Development Finance. Key stakeholders include Group Finance, the Global Head of Development, Legal, and colleagues in our Shared Service Center in Manila

 

Qualifications


To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • A relevant degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Solid understanding of IFRS and accounting for investments, with the ability to assess and evaluate accounting treatments
  • Experience improving processes and ways of working to increase efficiency and quality
  • Proficiency in SAP, BPC, Power BI, and other ERP or reporting systems
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken

Additional information
