Join our Reporting & Analytics team as a Lead Analytics Engineer, where you will drive the delivery of scalable cloud-based analytics solutions, mentor teams, and ensure high-quality data models that power business performance across a global organization.

The Reporting & Analytics (R&A) Centre of Excellence is a global function in Finance responsible for enabling data-driven performance management and decision-making across Vestas. The CoE brings together business-facing analytics, governance and definitions, analytics engineering, and operations into a single, integrated operating model. Its purpose is to create a scalable, standardised, and high-quality analytics environment that delivers “one version of the truth” across Vestas. The R&A CoE works closely with Finance, Commercial, Operations, and Digital to translate business needs into analytics products, while ensuring consistency in data definitions, efficient delivery, and modern engineering practices. By combining subject matter knowledge, technical capability, and operational excellence, the CoE plays a critical role in improving performance transparency, accelerating decision-making, and reducing manual reporting across the enterprise.

 

 

Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead the technical delivery and implementation of analytics solutions, ensuring high-quality data models and reporting outputs. As part of the Analytics Engineering pillar, you will anchor execution excellence and uphold technical standards across the engineering layer.

  • Lead the delivery of analytics engineering initiatives within assigned areas
  • Build, and maintain scalable data models and reporting solutions using modern cloud-based platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, or similar)
  • Ensure high technical quality and scalability of analytics solutions
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, supporting their professional growth
  • Develop and promote standards, best practices, and governance frameworks across analytics engineering
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate requirements into effective solutions
  • Maintain, monitor, and continuously improve existing analytics solutions

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 6–10+ years of relevant experience in analytics, data engineering, or similar roles
  • Proven experience working with modern cloud-based data platforms and data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, or similar)
  • Strong expertise in SQL and data modelling
  • Experience with data visualisation tools, with a preference for Power BI
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring team members
  • Deep technical understanding of analytical concepts
