Can you inspire and lead IT Projects? Do you have the insight and drive to manage projects and liaise with many stakeholders operating in different areas of Vestas' Global IT department? Then we have an ideal opportunity for you, where you will be managing and leading projects of all sizes across different areas and units in Global IT.

With reference to the Group CFO, Global IT is a large-scale enterprise covering all areas: from IT strategy, business engagement and capturing to project implementations, infrastructure operations, service integration between vendors and end-user support. The Project & Portfolio Management organisation (PMO) in Global IT is a newly established functional area, where we have gathered all our colleagues who are handling projects to build and have a center of excellence. This newly established department called Project Execution consists of project managers ranging from associate level to highly skilled and experienced senior project managers.
We are looking for a Project Manager with a focus on IT Finance projects, to join and be part of a heavy equipped group of internal and external project managers. We expect you to be experienced with a variety of Project Management methods and toolsets.

Your primary responsibilities will be to manage projects their deliveries in Global IT Finance, through effective stakeholder management while ensuring a thorough understanding and use of our delivery models and processes. 

Overall, your responsibilities will include:

  • Define and set up deliverables for a set of projects and teams
  • Project planning and estimation including resource management
  • Communication with stakeholders across Vestas and with external partners 
  • Oversee any external project resources
  • Quality assurance
  • Change management
  • Financial management of the project
  • Ensure projects meet defined objectives
  • Prepare and reporting to steering committee
  • Transition from project to operations mode 


  • A degree in Communication, Business Administration, or IT.
  • Previous experience of working with or in a finance function is advantageous as well as a relevant financial education.
  • Very good project management skills, a formal certification in PMP/Prince 2 preferred, and Agile certification/experience is advantageous.
  • Planning of larger transitions including change management  
  • Planning and securing delivery of many parallel activities at the agreed quality and in due time
  • Experience in SAP PPM or similar Enterprise PPM solutions is beneficial but not a requirement.
  • Fluent in English verbally and in writing
  • Solid communication/stakeholder management skills
