You will become part of the Global Service EVP in Vestas, which is dedicated to everything that has to do with servicing turbines, reporting directly to the EVP of Service. The role is responsible for defining the strategy of Vestas' Service function, EVP-level communications and driving strategic decision-making. This entails identifying and assessing strategic opportunities and challenges, developing recommendations, and working with senior stakeholders to fulfil strategic goals.

 

 

Responsabilities

  • Lead the development of the Global Service Strategy and 3–5-year roadmap, anchored in market insights, customer expectations, competitive landscape, and internal capabilities
  • Identify, analyse, and frame critical strategic opportunities and challenges that require senior leadership decisions by providing high-quality, crisp strategic recommendations to the EVP of Service and the SLT
  • Develop EVP-level communication material, including board updates, strategy narratives, leadership offsite content, and change communication
  • Support the Service Leadership Team by preparing decision papers, analysis packs, and option evaluations
  • Drive deep-dive analyses on business performance, portfolio evolution, customer satisfaction, pricing, and operating model optimization and develop market and competitive intelligence that enables executive-level decision-making
  • Coordinate and align strategic initiatives across Global Service, Regions, Product, Supply Chain, Digital/IT, and Corporate Strategy and ensure the Service strategy is understood, adopted, and consistently executed across the organization
  • Partner with Finance to build business cases, scenario models, and P&L impact assessment

Please note that while the role requires collaboration and cross-functional leadership across the matrix organisation, it does not entail direct people management responsibilities. 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Solid business understanding and strategic acumen
  • 8+ years of experience in strategy roles within large global organisations or top-tier management consulting
  • Demonstrated experience in influencing and collaborating with executive leadership
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; adept at structuring ambiguous problems
  • Experience with transformation programs and cross-organisational initiatives
  • Experience within services businesses (aftermarket, field service, digital services, lifecycle services)
  • Experience working directly with EVP or C-suite leaders
