Our Global Service PMO is a powerhouse of project managers and PMO specialists who drive innovation across Global Service in Vestas. With team members spread across countries and cultures, you will be part of a skilled and collaborative environment where ideas turn into action.
As Head of Global Service PMO, you will play a pivotal role in turning strategy into projects by ensuring consistent project governance and execution. You will create value by ensuring portfolio transparency, prioritising investments, standardising delivery practices, and enabling tangible benefits. Furthermore, you will support strategic decision making and promote cross-functional coordination—ultimately accelerating business performance and customer value through disciplined portfolio and project management.
Responsibilities
You will lead a team of 20+ experienced and highly motivated project managers and PMO specialists who support and manage the prioritisation, execution, and implementation of the Global Service portfolio.
Main areas of responsibility:
- Strategic portfolio governance: define, prioritise, and manage portfolio projects that align with the Vestas Service strategy
- Global Project Excellence: establish and support a global way of executing projects in Vestas Service, in close coordination with the regional business units
- Performance management and reporting: create transparency and insight across the Global Service project portfolio by setting clear KPIs and performance criteria through dashboards and reports
- Resource and capacity management: coordinate and prioritise internal and external resources required for executing the portfolio projects
- Risk management: oversee, report, and support the mitigation of portfolio and project risks
- Stakeholder and change leadership: act as the primary point of alignment across business units, functions, and regions
- PMO operations and continuous improvement: ensure the PMO runs efficiently and evolves with the rest of the Vestas organisation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, IT, or a related field
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum)
- 10+ years of project management experience, including 5+ years in a managerial role related to project management
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, global change-management activities
- Experience with project management tools such as MS Planner, Jira, or similar

- Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Solid communication abilities and a talent for stakeholder management, capable of building bridges across a multicultural and multinational environment
- An analytical, structured, and results-driven approach
- A customer-centric mindset with a solid understanding of the service value chain

Additional information
The role is primarily based in our Copenhagen office, but Aarhus can also be considered. You can expect up to 20 days of travel per year.
